Build it with AI. Understand what you built.

Forge is an online creator platform where young people use AI as a mentor to build digital products. It teaches you the ideas underneath your code, so you can direct AI instead of depending on it.

The Forge islands seen from above: Asia and Europe, Africa, Australia and the Pacific, and The World in the middle.

What you can do on Forge

Build, solve, learn

Forge is a world of islands to walk around. Build what you want, take on problems other people have, and learn computer science one idea at a time.

Build products you want. Build products you need.

If you can describe it, you can build it — a homework planner, a savings tracker, a game for your friends.

Solve problems people have

Hackathons let you take on someone else’s problem. Build, iterate and grow.

Learning modules

Easy, medium or hard

Challenges are set by a host with a real reason for asking, like rebuilding a picture from light and dark flashes.

How it goes

From an idea to something people use

1

Bring something you want to exist

Not an exercise with a right answer. A planner for your year group, a tracker for something you are saving for.

2

Learn what it is made of

Short lessons take you through building a real thing a line at a time, then hand you half-built apps to finish.

3

Build it, with a helper that explains

It carries the spelling and the field names. The decisions stay yours.

4

Watch it run

Monitor variables shows what your program is holding, changing as it runs, so you can see what your code is actually doing.

5

Ship it, then keep going

Publish it, see what people do with it, change it again. Or answer a problem somebody has posted.

For schools

Forge in the classroom

A guided path through the islands, run over one term and tailored to the Australian and New Zealand school curriculums for Grades 6–8. Forge arrives in schools in both countries in 2027.
